PURPOSE:To intermittently feed articles by the simple and inexpensive constitution by transporting rod-shaped articles by the nipping by a clamping metal fitting and a back-up metal fitting and releasing each metal fitting by a part of a guide and then engaging the metal fittings again. CONSTITUTION:When a rod-shaped body B is inserted into an auxiliary guide 20, and the both casings 1 and 2 are fastened by a bolt 18, a clamping metal fitting 5 nips the rod-shaped body B and closely attaches the rod-shaped body B onto a back-up metal fitting 6. When a driving shaft 9 is revolved, a pinion 14 is revolved through gears 11 and 15, and since the pinion 14 is engaged with a rack pin 17, a pinion shaft 10, namely the clamping metal fitting 5 shifts in parallel along a guide groove 16. Therefore, the pinion shaft 10 shifts rectilinarly from the position (a) to the position (c) through the position (b), and the rod-shaped body B is shifted by the distance a-c in the axial direction. When the pinion shaft 10 shifts in parallel from the position (c) to the position (d), the both metal fittings 5 and 6 are slipped-off, and the feed of the rod-shaped body B is once suspended. |
