<p>Powdery carpet-care compsn. contains, by wt. w.r.t. total wt., (a) >=40(55-99)% granular inorganic salt (I), having particle dia. 0.06-0.25 mm., as carrier, and 0.1-45% agglomerating agent (II), e.g. starch, together with volatile odour improver, e.g. deodorant and air-freshener, made up of (b) 25% (II) and 20% odour improver. The compsns. are used to improve the odour of natural and/or synthetic fibre carpets, by application to carpet surface and removal, e.g. by suction cleaning, together with bonded impurities. The compsns. are non-dusting, coat only fibre tips and can be removed without clogging suction cleaner parts; and provide a long-lasting clean and air-freshening effect.</p> |
