MOUNTING DEVICE FOR FLAME ROD

PURPOSE:To prevent the extinguishing of fire due to the malfunction of a combustion detecting device by a method wherein dewing on the surface of porcelain for the flame rod is prevented in the initial stage of combustion to prevent the temporary reduction of the current value of the flame rod. CONSTITUTION:The flame rod 3 for a secondary combustion chamber 2 is attached through a mounting fitment 4 so that the porcelain 3a thereof does not contact directly with the combustion chamber 2. The mounting fitment 4 is a tubular body and is formed with small holes 4a on the upper and lower parts thereof and a path 4b, communicated with the small holes 4a and including a part of the porcelain 3a. When a main burner is burnt, the combustion thereof is detected by the flame rod 3. The temperaure of the porcelain 3 can be reduced by air passing through the small holes 4a provided on the upper and lower parts of the path 4b in the fitment 4. Especially, a sudden temperature rise of the porcelain 3a of the flame rod 3 upon the initial stage of combustion of the main burner 1 may be prevented.
