PURPOSE:To execute sufficiently recording to a medium up to a high recording density by constituting the titled device so that a signal of a high recording density is recorded by a lower recording current than that of a signal of a low recording density, in case of a vertical magnetic recording. CONSTITUTION:In order to extend a recording density characteristic to a high density side, it is necessary to make a recording current comparatively small, and in order to improve an OVER WRITE characteristic, it is necessary to make the recording current large at least at the time of recording of a low recording density. When recording is executed by a recording current 30mA and a recording current 20mA, when the recording density is <=50KFCI, and when said density is >=50KFCI, respectively, a device can be operated by a recording density 80KFCI. In this way, recording can be executed sufficiently up to a high recording density area, therefore, a storage device being small in size and having a high density can be realized. |
