The arrangement has a bridge circuit contg. a differential transducer, a transformer, measurement and compensation wires, a null indicator and compensations. The measurement wire (8) lies between the two identical electrically connected measurement electrodes (5) with which it forms a capacitor. The capacitor forms a bridge arm with one section of the transformer secondary. The compensation wire (9) is symmetrically arranged between two identical and connected compensation electrodes (7) with which it forms a further capacitor and the other bridge arm with the other section of the transformer secondary. The null indicator (10) forms the bridge diagonal. The compensation electrodes of the differential transducer are adjustable w.r.t. the compensation wire.
