PURPOSE:To attain the word correction with high reliability by performing the interleave to distribute each sample word within an error correction block and the data on the error correction or the error correction code according to a prescribed rule. CONSTITUTION:The continuous analog signals of plural channels are digitized for recording and reproduction. The sampling signals are distributed to tracks successively according to their numbers by a track distributor 25. Then a memory circuit 27 performs the frame delay of the numerical values as shown in the figure. Furthermore the track scramble is carried out. The sampling signals are sent to the error detecting coder of each track. The frame delay is carried out by an address generator 26. The burst error length to which the average interpolation is applied can be increased as the amount of the frame delay is increased more than the value of two frames. Thus the correction length can be increased to secure the recording/reproduction with high reliability.
