In a mould member of an endles-chain mould for a casting machine for the continuous casting of metal, with a plate having the mould working surface proper, this plate is to be chamfered at its longitudinal edges towards the working surface of the mould. The thermal expansions are thereby allowed for during the use of the casting machine, without the working surface of the mould being deformed. <IMAGE>
