PURPOSE:To form a slit in a pipe while moving it in an axial direction by using a drill which is a for ironwork end mill or rotary bar or the like having cutting ability in its point end and periphery, instead of a circular saw or a high speed cutting wheel. CONSTITUTION:A pipe 1 is fixed to a bed 2 placed on a sliding base 3. If the sliding base is moved, the pipe 1 also moves in an axial direction. The bottom of bed 2 comprises three surfaces such as a horizontal surface in the central part and 2 symmetrically sloped surfaces in both sides. The pipe 1 is penetrated by a drill 8 and formed the slit while moving in the axial direction. Accordingly, the slit can be prevented from clogging by tilting the bed 2 so as to widely machine the inner sides of the slit. |
