Seen from the front, the lens has the form of a rectangle. On one lateral narrow side of the rectangular vehicle lamp, the lens forms a ventilating cavity with the reflector rim. In the lower and upper regions the ventilating cavity respectively has an opening to the outside and to the inside of the lamp chamber. As a result, the vehicle lamp does not require a mirror-symmetric embodiment.
