PURPOSE:To reduce the weight and to perform surface treating work efficiently by applying abrasion-resistant treatment onto the sliding face of cylinder liner of aluminum system material then fitting the cylinder liner to aluminum system diecast or alloy cast block. CONSTITUTION:A surface treatment layer 3 of such as hard chrome plating is formed onto the sliding face of a cylinder liner 2 made of aluminum system material to produce an abrasion-resistant sliding face of specific thickness. Then said aluminum liner 2 is pressure inserted into an aluminum diecast block or an aluminum alloy cast block 1 to form a cylinder block. Since the surface treatment is required only for the cylinder liner 2, convenient and small-sized galvanization zig, galvanization inserting hole, etc. can be used thus to facilitate the work. |
