PURPOSE:To image pick up both visible and infrared rays and to simplify the constitution of a video camera by using an image pickup device having sensitivity to both the visible and infrared rays and a means switching between a visible ray cut filter and an infrared ray cut filter. CONSTITUTION:A filter unit 1 is set at the front of an image pickup tube 6 of a video camera via a stripe filter 5, and an infrared ray cut filter 2 and a visible ray cut filter 3 are provided to the unit 1. An objective lens 5 is added at the front of the unit 1 and at the same time a control signal generator 11 is connected to the unit 1. The filters 2 and 3 are switched in response to the control signal given from the generator 11. While the video signals given from the tube 6 are applied to a signal mixing circuit 9 and a color encoder 10 via a preamplifier 7 and a video signal processing circuit 8. Then the switch control signal for both filters 2 and 3 given from the generator 11 is applied to the encoder 10 to attain the image pickup of both visible and infrared rays. |
