A multi-layered structural member 1 comprising a layer 2 of flocks 3 to 5 of foamed plastic interconnected by a plastic 6 of primary material and one covering layer 11 arranged on a surface 10 of the layer 2 and connected with the latter in a frictional and formlocking manner. In some areas a cell structure of the flocks 3 to 5 of foamed plastic is deformed in the layer 2. The covering layer 11 is embedded in a synthetic material 6 of the layer 2, which material is primarily formed by a thermoplastic, and/or in a synthetic material 16 of an intermediate layer 12, 25 arranged between said layer and the covering layer 11 and/or, by means of this synthetic material 6, 16, is at least formed onto the layer 2 and/or connected thereto in a frictional and/or formlocking manner.
