摘要 PURPOSE:To synchronize a rotary head mechanism with a recording data signal by using the pulse of a tachometer arranged on the rotating shaft of a rotary cylinder as a trigger signal, and reading recording data signals out of a couple of storage devices alternately and successively and supplying them to a couple of magnetic recording heads. CONSTITUTION:Magnetic recording heads 3a and 3b are fitted to the rotary cylinder which rotates as shown by an arrow opposite each other at an interval of 180 deg.. A synchronizing motor 6 is provided to rotate the rotary cylinder 5 and therefore the magnetic recording heads 3a and 3b. Tachometer pulse generating magnets 7a and 7b are fitted to the rotating shaft of the rotary cylinder 5 so that a tachometer pulse is outputted from a tachometer pulse generating device 8 when the magnetic recording heads 3a and 3b almost contact a magnetic tape 4. The magnetic recording heads 3a and 3b, rotary cylinder 5, synchronizing motor 6, tachometer pulse generating magnets 7a and 7b, and tachometer pulse generating device 8 constitute the rotary head mechanism.
