PURPOSE:To keep off any damage to a bearing, by setting up a static-pressure bearing inside a bearing tank and, when high-pressure lubrication comes impossible to be done for some reason, making an oil level inside the bearing tank go up to a high level than a sliding surface of the bearing. CONSTITUTION:A static-pressure bearing 3 is housed in a bearing tank 13, and usually feeds a sliding surface with a runner with lubricating oil from an oil feed pump 10 via a high-pressure oil feed pipe 4. When trouble happens in the oil feed pipe 10 for high pressure oil and thereby normal high-pressure lubrication comes impossible to be done, a valve 7 is closed, stopping oil drain, and oil is fed to the inside of the bearing tank 13 from a high-pressure tank 12. With this operation, an oil level inside the tank goes up to a higher level than the sliding surface between the runner 2 and the bearing so that an oil film is formed on the bearing by dint of turning force of the runner, thus a normal bearing function is maintainable. |
