PURPOSE:To use an inexpensive motor having a small number of poles and to put a pickup accurately in servo operation, and to cover the servo operation from a low-speed to a high-speed without using any speed reduction gear by using the 1st and the 2nd reversible driving motors which are controlled independently and pulleys among which an endless belt is extended. CONSTITUTION:A spindle 2 at the center part of a disk base 1 is rotated by a spindle motor 3. Further, the 1st and the 2nd reversible driving motors 16 and 17 are provided to support frames 7a and 8, and the 1st and the 2nd driving pulleys 18 and 19 are fitted onto the power shafts of the motors; and the 1st and the 2nd fixed pulleys 20 and 21 and intermediate pulleys 22 and 23 are supported pivotally on the support frames 7 and 8, and an intermediate pulley 24 is pivoted on the rear-side center part of the disk base 1. The endless driving belt 31 is extended among the respective pulleys. When information is read out of a disk 4, the pickup 13 is moved on the disk 4 radially at a high speed to perform searching operation and moved to a specific signal track on the disk 4 and, then servo operation for allowing the pickup 13 to follow up the track is performed to read its signals. |
