PURPOSE:To prevent gold duct without surface grinding before cold rolling, by cold rolling a hot rolled plate while making the layer nearest to the surface rich in carbon under a specified condition, with respect to said plate after finishing the pickling of ferrite stainless steel contg. a specified C quantity. CONSTITUTION:In manufacturing a steel sheet by heating and hot rolling a ferrite stainless steel slab contg. 0.002-0.08% C quantity at tapping time, then applying annealing, pickling, cold rolling, finishing annealing to obtan a steel sheet, carbon content enriching treatment is performed by coating solid carburizer thereto suitably so that C content at least up to 50mu depth from the layer nearest to the surface of the hot rolled plate after finishing the pickling is regulated to 0.04-0.10% range. In this way, even if special surface grinding is not performed before cold rolling, a stainless steel sheet without generating gold dust can be manufactured. |
