PURPOSE:To obtain a core having excellent magnetic characteristics with high productivity by cutting off a bent section in a wound core in which a thin band made of an amorphous magnetic alloy is wound to a comparatively slender closed curve shape. CONSTITUTION:A thin band 2 made of an amorphous magnetic alloy is wound so that a comparatively slender closed curve is formed, and both end sections of the wound core A is cut off, thus manufacturing an approximately tabular or cylindrical laminate. The thin band 2 made of the amorphous alloy is wound on the surface of a body such as a slender core body 1, thus manufacturing the laminate (a wound core) A. The laminate A is cut along surfaces, an X-X' surface and a Y-Y' surface, in the vicinity of bent sections at both ends, and only rectilinear sections A1 and A2 are taken out, thus obtaining a long-sized element core in which strain due to winding does not remain. When laminates A1 and A2 are superposed, the thickness of the core can be doubled at a stroke. |
