PURPOSE:To obtain the paper mounting mechanism of an automatic paper feeder having good operability, by constituting the same so that the operation of the side holder energized to a paper side by a spring can be performed by a lever through a revolving member. CONSTITUTION:When a lever 24 is fallen by about 90 deg. to this side at the mounting time of paper, the thick wall part of a cam 20 is contacted with a revolving member 12 and, therefore, the revolving member 12 is slightly revolved around a shaft 10 and stopped. The side holder 16 engaged with the part of the hook 14 of the revolving member 12 also moves to the direction B against the energizing force from a spring 18. Therefore, the side holder 16 is prevented from protruding to the inside from first and second fixing members 4, 6 and is not an obstacle to the mounting of paper at the time of mounting and paper can be easily mounted. When the mounting of the paper is completed and the lever 24 is again returned to the original position, the side holder 16 is energized by the spring 18 and the bundle 60 of papers is certainly pressed by the side holder 16. |
