For a printing-type distance counter (1) of the type of a wheel revolution counter, an arrangement is proposed by means of which it can not only be verified that an intervention has taken place but which prevents the distance counter (1) from being made operable again after the intervention. This is achieved by the fact that preferably the last gear stage in the drive connection of the distance counter (1) is constructed as a helical gear, that the driving shaft (50) of the helical gear is supported axially displaceably against the action of a compression spring (54) in such a manner that another gear element (47) arranged on it disengages from a further gear element (45) allocated to the gear element (47), during the axial displacement of the shaft (50) in the event of a blockage of the distance counter (1), and thus the drive of the distance counter (1) is interrupted. <IMAGE> |
