PURPOSE:To obtain the insulation efficiency of the magnetic head by calculating the ratio of the peak value of the integral waveform of a reproduced output voltage to the product of the residual magnetism and magnetic film thickness of a magnetic recording medium and the track width of the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:The total amount phio of playback magnetic flux produced by recording magnetism 8 is as shown by phio=Mr.T.W, where T is the film thickness of the magnetic recording medium 7, Mr is residual magnetism, and W is the track width of a magnetic core 4.
