Heatshrinkable open (wrap-around) sleeve

The sleeve is constituted by a sheet made of a heatshrinkable crosslinked polymeric material. It can be closed up on a substrate by means of a hinge closure. For this purpose, a sheet 10 is provided with two series of hinge knuckles 11, 12 arranged in a staggered configuration. After installing the sheet 10 on a substrate 20 it is closed up on itself by means of a pin inserted into the aligned hinge knuckles. The sheet is then shrunk by supplying heat. <IMAGE>
