It comprises an endless chain 2 drawing a series of pallets 1 each provided with a scraper 15 situated at the front relative to the direction of movement. A loading platform 6 is provided with a scraper 19 situated at the rear and operated by a pallet passing underneath the platform so as to push the parcel onto the pallet in question. A fixed electromagnet 25 is placed immediately opposite each of two parcel discharge chutes 7, 8. When the movable element 26 of one of the electromagnets is out it immobilises the scraper 15 of the selected pallet so that the parcel falls by gravity down the chute. Sorting of mail. <IMAGE>
