<p>An antiproliferative and antiviral preparation of a metal ion chelating agent such as picolinic acid or derivatives thereof. The chelating agent is provided in an ointment base or in solution for topical or intravaginal use. The topical preparations have antiviral and antiproliferative effects and are used in the treatment of warts, psoriasis, skin cancers and other proliferative diseases and in the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases such as genital warts, herpes and AIDS.</p> |
