<p>A control device for a ball mill includes detector means for determining and signalling the number of revolutions of the mill, the signals being passed from the detector means to a preset counter and a control unit which, when a predetermined number of revolutions with drive has been counted, deactivates the drive and counts the revolutions in free rotation, during deceleration, so that, just prior to the mill stopping, a brake may be applied for stopping it and holding it with its discharge opening in a preset position.
