The invention relates to a device for drawing off bulk material into bags, which have a filling slot which extends parallel to the end seam in the region of one of their ends, the device having a mount on which an auxiliary connecting piece is vertically movable, clamps being assigned to and surrounding the latter, which clamps fix a bag which has been pushed with an open filling slot onto the auxiliary connecting piece to the latter, which, after vertical displacement, can be coupled to a filling piece of a packaging machine; having two vertically displaceable pairs of connecting strips which are arranged in alignment with the clamps, whose distance from one another approximately corresponds to the length of the filling slot and which hold the bag drawn off the auxiliary connecting piece; and having a device for sealing the bags when they are full. In a structurally simple and cost-saving implementation, a pivoting frame which is movable about a vertical axis is to be connected to the mount and supports another pair of connecting strips which, when the pivoting frame is pivoted towards the mount, is to be aligned with the pair of connecting strips of the mount, but at a different level, and the device for sealing is arranged on the pivoting frame or in the pivoting range of the latter.
