发明名称 METHOD OF MANUFACTURING TERMINAL SECTION OF LEAD STORAGE BATTERY
摘要 PURPOSE:To shorten a terminal section, by casing a frame-like terminal on the top of a lead bushing integrally therewith, and melting the contact surfaces of the bottom of the terminal and the top of an electrode pillar to provide a melt- bonded portion. CONSTITUTION:A terminal 6 shaped as a rectangular frame is integrally provided on the top 9 of a lead bushing 3 when the bushing is cast. The roof of the terminal 6 has a bolt hole 7, in which a connecting bolt is fitted. The lead bushing 3 is embedded in a recess 2 when a battery jar lid 2 is molded by injection. An electrode pillar 8 is disposed so that it projects from the top 9 and extends through the center opening of the lead bushing 3, at the bottom of the terminal 6. The projecting portion of the electrode pillar 8, the bottom of the terminal 6 and the top 9 of the lead bushing 3 are melt-bonded together so that a melt- bonded portion 10 is provided. According to this constitution, the quantity of required lead is reduced, and the distance of electric conduction is decreased to diminish the resistance thereto.
