A process for the planar adhesion bonding of laminates and substinate parts thereof by means of an adhesive layer arranged between them is described. The adhesion bonding takes place under the effect of pressure and preferably also of heat. The adhesive layer comprises an open-pored foam layer which is impregnated with an adhesive and highly compressed during adhesion bonding. The adhesive is advantageously a material which crosslinks under the effect of heat. <IMAGE>
