PURPOSE:To keep the part where a pipe for toner discharge is fitted in a recovery container invariably tight regardless of vibrations and to prevent toner from scattering by arranging a shutter which has a blocking member made of a flexible elastic material atop of the pipe which discharges waster toner from the device. CONSTITUTION:The toner recovery container 16 is mounted at a specific position from outside a machine and the pipe 3 is inserted into the opening 17a of a toner receiving part 17. Then, the peripheral edge part of the opening 17a abuts on the blocking member 1a of the shutter 1, which is further moved back against a spring 5. Toner to be discharged is conveyed by a screw conveyor and falls in the recovery container 16 through the opening 3b. At this time, the recovery container 16 is vibrated and the toner receiving part 17 is also displaced from the pipe 3, but the gap part between the opening 17a and the outer periphery of the pipe 3 is blocked invariably with the blocking member made of the flexible elastic material adaptively to the moving deformation of the gap part due to the variations, so on toner scatters out of the container. |
