PURPOSE:To shorten an access time by dividing a stack into a high speed/small capacity memory and a low speed/large capacity memory and storing data having a high using frequency and close to a stack top in the high speed/small capacity memory. CONSTITUTION:A register file 13 in a processor 12 is used as the high speed/ small capacity memory and a main memory 14 is used as a low speed/large capacity memory. A stack top pointer 15 indicating the newest data in a file 13, a stack bottom pointer 16 indicating the oldest data in the file 13, a stack pointer 17 indicating the newest data in the memory 14 are formed in the processor 12. The data having high frequency is stored in the file 13 and the data close to the stack bottom are stored in the memory 14. |
