<p>PURPOSE:To enable easy saddle switching of copied papers and to be stored in a prescribed storage palce by installing a binding device having a receiving seat for stacking the middle parts of the papers on the receiving face and a binder attachable to and separable from the receiving face on the upper side of the device and inclining the receiving face. CONSTITUTION:A pressing member 52 set above a lower mold 50 for forming a fold is lowered and presses the paper P placed on the protuberance 51 like an edge, and it is elastically deformed along the protuberance to form a fold at the middle part of the paper. When pushing members 78 pushed one of the longer sides of the papers in the direction of the paper binding part 7, and the papers P are pushed out on the inclined receiving face 72 of the receiving seat 71 of the part 70, the papers P are prevented from sliding down with a stopper 75 in the state of the middle parts of the papers P located on the receiving face 72 and it is supported on the receiving seat 71. When the papers P necessary for saddle stitching are placed on th receiving seat 71, the binder 73 executes saddle stitching of the papers P. After this saddle stitching, the stopper 75 is withdrawn, the paper P slides down by its own weight, and the would papers are stored on a tray.</p> |
