PURPOSE:To speed up processing by applying an address for specifying the position of a small picture to memory banks and switching the stored contents of respective memory banks and respective picture elements of the small picture so as to correspond to each other. CONSTITUTION:The memory banks store multi-dimensional information and are arranged in parallel multi-dimensionally so as to access respective picture elements of an optional small picture out of the information in parallel and at random. Address conversion circuits 20, 30 convert signal inputs for specifying the position of the small picture and apply the converted data to respective memory banks. Bilateral selecting circuits 50 are switched so that the stored contents of respective memory banks coincide with respective picture elements of the small picture to output small picture signals respectively. |
