PURPOSE:To provide the titled device making the adjustment in the cooling temp. of a strip easy as well as cooling efficiently by providing vertically movably the cooling water chamber that a slit shaped spouting water extends along the surface of a travelling strip to eliminate an obstacle for passing a strip. CONSTITUTION:The water spouting from a flat water pouring nozzle 14a is brought into contact with a travelling strip 2 and also flowed before and behind by a guide part 16a and the strip 2 is efficiently cooled. When the top and rear end of the strip 2 are run on a table, tha part composed of guide rolls 12, 13 and the guide part 16a is ascended and the water is poured in a slit lamina 19, which makes no obstacle for plate passing. The height in ascent makes the adjustment of the strip cooling possible as well. The cooling from the lower face of the strip is performed by plural fixed slit shaped nozzles 14b. |
