发明名称 SURFACE TREATMENT OF TUNGSTEN ELECTRODE FOR CORONA DISCHARGE
摘要 PURPOSE:To manufacture a W electrode for corona discharge having good corona discharging state and superior in endurance by drawing W wire having graphite coat on the surface, then removing the graphite coat, and applying nitriding treatment to the surface. CONSTITUTION:In manufacturing the W electrode for corona discharge by drawing W wire with die, coated film of graphite is formed on the surface of W wire to protect die and wire is drawn. The graphite stuck to the surface of the drawn W electrode is removed by electrolytic treatment or dissolving method, then said electrode is passed through 800-900 deg.C hydrogen atmosphere to apply pretreatment thereto such as reduction of oxides on the electrode surface, removement of curl and strain in the electrode. Next, the W electrode is passed through 500-900 deg.C nitrogen atmosphere to perform nitriding the surface thereof to form the coated film of turngsten nitride having 0.0005-0.002mm. thickness. The W electrode for corona discharge having good discharging state and superior in endurance is obtained.
