PURPOSE:To produce easily a block copy in a desired reduction or magnification ratio and without changing the contents of an original, by providing a size indication check device, a format converter and a function character converter between an input device and an editing device. CONSTITUTION:A size indication check device 8 checks the presence or absence of reduction and magnification commands issued from a keyboard 1a. When these commands are detected, the format information and a function character fed into the input data from a document information input device 3 are extracted and sent to a format converter 9 and a function character converter 10, respectively. While other elements are sent to an editing device 4 like a normal print mode. Both converters 9 and 10 refers to a conversion table and performs calculation, etc. according to the supplied reduction or magnification ratio, and obtaining the value accordant with said reduction or magnification ratio, the information converted into those said values are sent to the device 4. The result of editing is sent to a printer 7 from an output device 5 for production of a block copy print. |
