A remote-controlled electronic accordion organ consists of an accordion (this also applies to all electronically playable musical keyboard instruments) 10 the operating elements of which, that is to say knobs or keys 24, 25 also operate, in addition to the accordion valves, electrical switches, in which arrangement an infrared transmitter 17 is optionally connected by means of switches which sends out the different electrical states as infrared information and wirelessly transmits the information to the receiver 21 in mutually independent IR channels. In the integrated circuits SAA 1030, SAA 1251, SAA 1253, Fig. 3, the data are evaluated and the outputs 1, 2, 3 and so forth are in each case set to high or low level and by this setting the desired oscillators of the sound generator section in the organ 20 are driven. 2. The invention enables a remote-controlled electronic organ 20 to be played by means of a key-type or button-type instrument, for example by means of an accordion 10, independently of a previously used control connection cable between playing instrument 10 and organ 20. This provides full freedom of movement and action for the player. 3. The newly developed IR remote control also provides for qualitative polyphonic playing since all IR channels are completely independent of one another and do not mutually influence or block each other. 4. The newly developed IR remote control saves on previous additional devices such as, for example, swell pedals, foot switches and so forth.
