There is applied to the yarn or yarns a flowable anti-adhesive, by means of which the mutual adhesion of the yarn turns adjacent to one another on the bobbin or beam is reduced or prevented. For applying the anti-adhesive to the yarn or yarns, there is used at least one applicator roller, through the surface of which the anti-adhesive is pressed.
