PURPOSE:To ensure ignition to a gas appliance without fail, by continuing discharging operation ceaselessly, by continuously performing easy piezoelectric igniting operation only, while gas is continuously fed, by only repeated operation of a cock operating shaft with a small angle. CONSTITUTION:A gas port 2 and a connecting channel 3 are provided to a cock closer 1. A cock operating shaft 4 to turn a cock closer 1 is engaged with the connecting channel 3 of a closer 1, by a connecting projection 5 at the tip of a shaft 4, with some play between both parts. A piezoelectric operating plate 6, equipped so as to be interlocked with a cock operating shaft 3, is arranged such that its tip 6a is faced to the end face of the slide-operating body 8 of a piezoelectric device 7. The play between the connecting channel 3 of a cock closer 1 and the connecting projection 5 of a cock operating shaft 4 is provided so as to fit to the stroke of the slide-operating body 8 of a piezoelectric device 7. With such an arrangement, piezoelectric operation only 9s immediately started and is repeated, when an igniting operation is performed. Accordingly, discharging operation is repeated with very short intervals, so that positive ignition can be ensured to a gas appliance. |
