PURPOSE:To execute coloring of a mark simply and precisely in the stage of execution of coloring of a positioning mark for assembling a cell comprising a transparent electroconductive film which is provided on a substrate by coating polyvinylidene chloride resin on the mark and subjecting it to heat treatment. CONSTITUTION:A figure pattern part 2a comprising a transparent electroconductive film such as ITO is formed on a substrate 1 comprising glass or plastic film, and the surface of the pattern part is covered by an orientation film 3, and a positioning mark 2b comprising a transparent electroconductive film is formed simultaneously on the substrate 1. Then, polyvinylidene chloride resin 4 is coated on the positioning mark 2b, and the part of the resin corresponding to the part 4b just above the positioning mark 2b alone is cholored brown by heat treatment. The positioning mark 2b is sensed by a reflection mark sensor, and two glass substrates 1 are pasted together with an automatic pasting device. By this method, a liquid crystal display element is prepd. automatically. |
