A swivelable quick connector

A swivelable quick connect assembly for use with tubular conduits comprises a housing 348 having an axial bore 346 for receiving one end of the conduit 354, an elastomeric ring-like seal is disposed in the bore for providing a fluid tight seal between confronting positions of the conduit and the housing; a retainer is detachably secured to the housing and is cooperable with an annular projection on the conduit for securing the conduit in its operative position within the bore. A check valve unit 344 is disposed in bore 346 blocking fluid flow from end 350 to end 352 of housing 348 when conduit 354 is not in operative position. When the conduit is inserted in the housing the valve 344 is opened to permit fluid flow.
