The invention relates to a turntable for motor vehicles, with predetermined turning speed. The invention is based on the object of reducing time-consuming turning manoeuvres within strictly confined areas and at the same time reducing the risk of accidents in exits with bad visibility where turning is impossible. The object is achieved in that, after the vehicle has driven onto the turntable, a rotation through 180 degrees is carried out via a switch and is automatically stopped by means of a limit switch. In order to prevent the turntable being rotated unnecessarily, for example by children playing, it will be possible for the switch for actuating the turntable only to be switched on with a key. The drive of the turntable is effected by means of a motor with chain drive, cable drive or belt drive. The advantage achieved with the invention consists in particular in the fact that turning can be performed without difficulty and safely in areas with strictly confined entrances and exits.
