A description is given of a panel (12), in particular a plastic facade-cladding panel, which is provided with fastening bores (13, 14) for it to be fastened by means of nails, screws or similar fastening means on a substructure (10, 11) comprising battens or boards. By virtue of the fact that at least one of the fastening bores (e.g. 14) is formed on a special insert piece (15; 25) which is connected, or can be connected, to the panel (12) so as to be movable relative thereto, said panel (12) is configured in a simple manner such that it becomes more insensitive with respect to warping of the substructure (10, 11) on which it is mounted. The effect is based on the fact that, instead of the panel (12), essentially only the insert piece (15; 25) is now involved in the movements of the substructure (10, 11) and the resulting forces are not imparted to the panel (12). <IMAGE>
