<p>- Aid and assistance to the disabled. - The body-securing device for an invalid's chair is characterized in that it comprises: - a first set of means 26 which comprise two rigid segments 28, each mounted on the back 16 by means of an articulated system 31 which allows blocking of the segment in a vertical orientation of the handrail or horizontal orientation of a thoracic half-belt; - and a second set of means 27 which comprise two arcs (arches) 50 which can be immobilized in the same horizontal plane, in alignment, in order to form open shin pads (shin guards) which enclose the legs of an individual at the front. - Application to wheelchairs.
