PURPOSE:To enable to manufacture extremely easily a deformed cover coating a deformed article by making use of a heat-shrinkable plastic film, by a method wherein a molding tool in a predetermined form is coated with the heat-shrinkable plastic film, which is heated and the film after shrinkage is unloaded from the molding tool by splitting the film. CONSTITUTION:A heat-shrinkable film 2 (example: polyvinyl chloride, crosslinked polyethylene) is a tubular article having a large shrinkage factor so as to run favorably along a molding tool 1, which is heated by inserting the molding tool 1 into the film. As for the heating, for example, the film is made to shrink sufficiently by leaving the same in a hot air drying furnace, whose atmospheric temperature is 100-150 deg.C, for 3-5min as it is. Then the heat-shrinkable film 2 shrinked along the surface of the molding tool 1 is unloaded from the molding tool 1, for example, by splitting the film 2 by a cutter along a line as shown by a dotted line 11, and then a deformed cover 3 conforming to a deformed article to be coated is obtained. |
