PURPOSE:To obtain the superior paper feeding apparatus free from bending of the top edge of the paper and separation trouble (double feeding) by press- attaching the flat surface of the separating member of a paper feeding apparatus onto a feeding roller and allowing the press-contact force to act only the case when a paper cassette is mounted onto the body. CONSTITUTION:When a paper cassette 6a is in pulled-out state in the non-paper feeding state as shown in the figure, a pulling-back pin 22 is in free state and shifted rightward by a spring 23. Therefore, a swing member 15 turns counterclockwise around a pin 16 against a spring 21, and a separating member 10a having four flat surfaces is separated from a feeding roller 9a. When the paper cassette 6a is pushed-in leftward and put into mounted state, the top edge of the paper cassette 6a pushes the pin 21 leftward against the spring 23. Then, the swing member 15 is turned clockwise by the spring 23, and the separating member 10a is pushed onto the feeding roller 9a, and paper sheets 7 can be supplied in separated state. |
