PURPOSE:To facilitate the handling of a fiber and to improve the reliability of position fixation by polishing slantingly the fiber while inserting the fiber into the hole of a reinforcing member such as a ferrule as to the photodetecting device of an avalanche photodiode module device, etc. CONSTITUTION:The photodetecting device photodetects a light signal emitted from stop a fiber element wire 13 on the photodetection surface 9 of an avalanche photodiode (APD); and the tip of the fiber is inserted into the hole of the ferrule, whose lower end is polished slantingly together with the fiber element wire 13. This ferrule 15 is inserted into a hole bored slantingly in a metallic cap 16 and adhesives 17 and 18 are set where coupling efficiency is maximum to fix the ferrule 15. |
