PURPOSE:To reduce noise of a vertical magnetic recording medium by making the temperature of a base the same in laminating a soft magnetic layer and a vertical magnetizing layer on a high polymer base. CONSTITUTION:The high polymer base 1, the soft magnetic layer 2, the vertical magnetizing film 3 and a protecting layer 4 are provided. In manufacturing the medium, the soft magnetic layer 2 and the vertical magnetizing film 3 are laminated at the same base temperature. Thus, the vertical magnetic recording medium with less noise is obtained at high speed at the recording and reproduction with high density.
