PURPOSE:To transmit/receive a data while programmable controllers are linked mutually by adding a transmission unit having a data transmitting/receiving function to the programmable controllers. CONSTITUTION:An I/O data is transmitted and received between a PC unit 1 and a data memory 6, converted into a serial data by a transmission section 8 and the data is transmitted to a slave station. When the data transmission is finished to all slave stations, the right of a master station is given to the next station and the right of the next master station is awaited fro return. A slave station receives a data from the master station so as to attain error check, and when an error exists, error information is transmitted to the master station and when normal, the data is transmitted to the master station.
