PURPOSE:To change the position of a center knife simply and correctly by installing a pair of guide rings onto the both sides of the center knife through a sleeve, onto one of a pair of shafts onto which the knife is installed, so that the position can be changed, in the captioned apparatus for a band steel, etc. CONSTITUTION:A center knife 2a is fitted 11 onto a pair of shafts 1 by a key, and a pair of sleeves 12 are fitted 11 onto the both sides of the center knife 2a by a key, and fixed by a nut 7. A pair of side guides 2b are fitted 13 onto the sleeve 12 of one shaft 1 by a key through a rubber ring 14 and a spacer bolt 15, and fastened by a fastening bolt 16 and a nut 9. In this constitution, the side guide 2b and the rubber ring 14 are shifted by loosening the nut 9, and the position of the side guide is changed by replacing a spacer bolt 25 to the one having a prescribed dimension. With such constitution, the position of the knife can be changed simply and rapidly. |
