PURPOSE:To precisely position a box member and to prevent scratching, by using a female die made of a liquefied intermediate which is hardened at the normal temperature or a temperature lower than the thermal deformation temperature of the box member to be assembled and which have a specific hardness, as a fixing jig used upon automatically manufacturing a telephone set, etc. CONSTITUTION:A fixing jig for positioning a resin die for an automatic assembly line for boxes of articles, is composed of a female die which is obtained by filling a hardenable liquefied intermediate around the base bottom section of a box member used as an original shape of the article to be assembled and hardening the intermediate and which has a Shore A hardness of 50-95. The liquefied intermediate used for this purpose is hardened at the normal temperature, or is hardened in a temperature lower than the thermal deformation temperature of the box member when the intermediate is made into contact with the box member for the original shape. As for specific example, such intermediates may be used as urethane elastomer, silicone elastomer, aclylic elastomer, epoxy elastomer, etc. If the hardness of such elastomers is below the above-mentioned hardness value, the female die is deformed upon fitting the box member into the female die so that the box may not be precisely positioned. Meanwhile, if the hardness of the die exceeds the value the pushing pressure at the front end of a robot may not be absorbed. |
