The invention relates to a tamper-proof indicator for a container, particularly for a bottle containing a liquified petroleum gas, in the form of a one-piece cap 10 covering, at least partially, the tapping orifice 2 of the valve 1 of the container. According to the invention, this cap is made of a breakable cellular material - for example a polystyrene foam - overmoulded, by expansion, in position on the valve, this cap furthermore interacting with a relief element 3, projecting or recessed, of the valve in order to prevent its removal without breaking the expanded material. Advantageously, a metallic insert 20, which is deformable in a non-reversible manner when the indicator is broken, is provided and embedded inside the expanded material. <IMAGE>
